Hey Magical One!
Last night as Lee and I ate dinner at a restaurant celebrating life, I overheard a conversation between the waiter and the guests he was serving.
“What movie are you going to see after you’re done here?”
“Oh, I’m so peanut butter and jelly.”
Peanut butter and jelly?
It took me a second to realize what he meant. Peanut butter and JELLY!
Jelly meaning he was jealous!
I had heard the term jelly before as being a cute way of admitting jealousy. Heck, I’ve used it myself to try it on (don’t worry, I stopped). The part I found the most interesting was that pop culture was now taking a word that represents negative resentments and turning it into a well known comfort food.
Does this now make being jealous of others okay?
I think not.
Jealousy is a natural emotion, but to me it goes deeper than envy.
To me it’s a clash between the soul and the ego.
The soul recognizes in the other its own potential and is doing what it can to nudge you in that direction.
The ego wants to keep you safe, so it’s instinct reaction is to say no and hold you back.
Getting the two to work together in harmony is key to getting what you truly want in life.
I teach these things inside of the weekly Success Circle calls to help you move past all that jelly stuff, so you can see your own beautiful potential.
Not only see it, but live it.

P.P.S. Right after I wrote this email I read it to Lee. He then made himself a PB&J sandwich for breakfast. You may be craving one too now. That’s cool. Make yourself one and eat it while you read THIS.
